Spelling Homework week #5

The  Mayor of our local council has approved a project to build a road through a local park. My mother wrote to our local member to say the rights of children had been denied. As a tax payer she felt she  had to have her say as did many other people who also sent  their objections through the mail. The road has been allowed to go ahead anyway. The council won.

Word meanings:

  • Optimisim- optimisim means to be happy and always loking at the bright side.
  • Collaboration- collaboration means to work together in groups or as a team.
  • Fairness- fairness means to give everyone a go and to share.
  • Mayor- a mayor is the haed of a city government.
  • Government- government is a group of people that make decisions to benefit others.


  • Roll and Role- The first Roll means to move or to turn over, the second Role means to have a part or to be in a film.
  • Vice and Vice- One meanning for vice is an apliacefor holding an objective while work is done on it, another meanning for vice is a person wh serves as deputy to another.
  • Won and One- The first Won means to win a race e.g The boy won the race, the other the other one means that you only have one thing not two e.g The by had one lolly (1).
  • Council and Counsel- The first Council means an assembly of people meeting for discution and consultation, the other counsel means advice or guidiance on cunduct, behaviour.
  • Lie and Lie- on lie mean to not tell the truth the other lie means to sit straite down on the ground (lie)
  • Tear and Tear- One tear means to rip something apart the other tear means cry.

Prediction: I predict that this is going to be a question that involves Subtraction and addition, I think i will also need to fill in the gap.

100 WC week #23

The 2016 Olympic games are here fokes and this year they are AMAZING. We now have lots of new Athlets competing this year. One of the big things is Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake competing in he Mens long jump. But first we have Sally Person competing in the Womens 100 metre hurdles she is saying she is hurdling better then ever, She is trying to get back to back gold medals. Bang the gun goes off and Sally Person has already fnished. It’s now the men’s long jump Usain Bolt is first hes running in very fast he jumps and comes down pushing through the Earth.

Classroom Conciderations

  • Always think about the positives.
  • Treat others how you want to be treated.
  • Listen and care for peoples properties and opinions.
  • Be sensible.
  • use your words to solve your problems.
  • Don’t be afraid to share your ideas.
  • Appropriate noise level for the task/ stay on task.

“Johnny where are we” said Abigale. I think we are lost in the jungle”. “Maybe if we keep walking we will stumble across something” Johnny suggested. “Good idea” Abigale replied. So Abigale and Johnny walked along and along, then they saw a shining path leading to a small house. They walked up to this house and knocked on the door. There was no response. “Hello” they shouted. Then they were greeted by a little person in the window that said “Come on in”. They stepped in and were welcomed by little people. “Hello.  Welcome to our world.” they shouted.  IT WAS……..??

Maths Term 1 Sheet 1 Problem

Question 24: Fill in the missing number number 13+_+35=80

Predict: I think this is a number Problem. I predict I will have to use addition and subtraction.

Clarify: The blank box means that you need to write the answer in.


1. Add 13 and 35 together. The answer is 48

2. Subtract 48 from 80. The answer is 32

3. Fill in the empty box with the answer

Summary: The strategy I used was make a number sentence.

100 WC Week#21

     … meetings were held across the country to find an answer…..  The teachmeets are here. This year they are here live from Wales 2014. It is only one more hour until the national teachmeets begins. Wait guys wait I have just gotten word that the teachers have gotten lost and are now heading on their way to Sochi. Looks that now one of the teachers has given up on the meet and is now having a holiday in Sochi and going to see the Winter Olympics, I’m now hearing that one of the teachers is going to Australia and having a beer on the barbecue. Well that wraps up the 2014 teachmeets.



Dear Jess,

This letter is going to tell you what I bring to the Class room/make the class room better. The reasons I want to be here are…..

My first thing that I bring to the class room is sportiness by sportiness I bring Communication, I bring Confidence, I also bring Collaboration and I also bring Helpfulness.

My second thing that I bring to the classroom is Care, What I bring when I say care is making people feel Welcome in 5/6 A, make people feel like what they say is valued and by making people feel HAPPY.

My third thing that I bring to the classroom is Fun by Fun I bring a little bit of laughter and I also bring lots of JOY.

My Final thing that I bring to the classroom is HAPPINESS by happiness I bring confidence in others, make people feel good and I help others.

Here are some reasons why I wanted to be in this class, I have lots of friends in this class, you were one of the teachers that I wanted to get (you and Liz) and I know that this year is going to be FUN.

I hope this has given you all the reasons why I wanted to be in this CLASS!
